Ordering MS Death Certificates

• Order by mail: Mail the application form with a check or money order to-

• Order on-line or by phone from a private vital records service, using a credit card: VitalChek, a private company, provides the following for Mississippi Vital Records: Secure ordering on-line or by phone, Major credit card acceptance (American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa) and Express shipping option. VitalChek offers convenient ordering and delivery, but adds a fee to the $17 charge for a certified copy from MSDH. To avoid additional fees, you can order from MSDH by mail. You can contact the MSDH Vital Records Office at (601) 206-8200.
• Come in person to MS Vital Records (Ridgeland Office) at 222 Marketridge Dr between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and pay by cash, check or money order. The record will be mailed within 7 to 10 business days of ordering.
