William Richard "Rickey" Geno

William Richard "Rickey" Geno, 66, of Bay St. Louis, MS passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025, in Diamondhead, MS. 

Rickey was a cherished member of Central Bible Church in Bay St. Louis, Rickey embraced life with warmth and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Rickey's journey began with a passion for craftsmanship, as evidenced by his completion of a furniture refinishing certificate at Woodrow Wilson Rehab in Fisherville, VA in 1980. His interests were diverse and vibrant; from coin collecting to preparing fresh vegetables, working joyfully at Kings Kitchen, exploring flea markets, enjoying electronics, and finding joy in playing bingo and engaging in word searches. His enthusiasm for straight lines showcased his unique character and attention to detail.

He was preceded in death by his beloved father, William Geno; his brother, Adrian Bradshaw; sister-in-law, Sheryl Bradshaw; and his grandparents, Paul and Joy Gallo. 

Rickey leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted mother, Monte Greenway; long time love of 50 years, Terri Moore; sister, Joy Gilbert; brother, Jeff Geno (Mary); uncle, Richard Gallo; He was the proud uncle to four nieces—Destin McCarty (Bryant), Devon Gilbert (Grayson), Kelly Geno, and Emily Geno; and a nephew, Jeffrey Geno, Jr., along with numerous great-nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward.

The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Woodland Village for the kindness and care shown to Rickey. A very special note of thanks goes to Pastor Mike Ramsey for making Rickey feel cherished in the community, allowing him to serve by distributing Sunday morning church bulletins and guiding him on his spiritual journey.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to The Kings Kitchen at 1203 U.S. 90, Bay St. Louis, MS 39520, to honor Rickey’s generous spirit.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Central Bible Church at 10:30 a.m., where all are invited to join in remembering a life well-lived.
