Thomas Robert Cool Jr., 55, of Bay Saint Louis, MS, entered his eternal rest with Jesus on March 15, 2025. He took his final earthly breath at home, surrounded by the love of his closest family and friends.
Thomas was born on March 2, 1970, in Tucson, Arizona, to Thomas Cool Sr. and Linda Cool. He was lovingly raised in Bay Saint Louis, MS, by his mother, Maw Maw Lillie Mae, along with multiple aunts and uncles who showered him with love and instilled in him the values that shaped him into the remarkable man he became.
A lifelong resident of Bay Saint Louis, Thomas built a lifetime of friendships, from childhood through every chapter of his journey. His warm and loyal heart ensured that no matter how much time passed, he could always pick up right where he left off with old friends, sharing laughter, stories, and an unbreakable bond.
The most profound chapter of Thomas’ life began when he gave his heart to the Lord. He met Tina Davis in November 2015, and what started as a friendship slowly, and sometimes stubbornly, grew into a love destined by God. As Thomas' health declined, he found comfort in his faith, leaning deeply into God's word. Through prayer, devotion, and worship, his loving wife, Tina, guided him closer to Christ, nurturing a faith that gave him strength and peace. On December 24, 2024, they exchanged vows, sealing a love story filled with deep friendship, unwavering devotion, and God’s grace.
Above all, Thomas was a devoted father, fiercely proud of his children and their accomplishments. He shared a unique and cherished relationship with each of his three children, not just as their father, but as their best friend. Whether offering a helping hand, wise counsel, tough love, or a warm embrace, his children knew they could always turn to him. He leaves them with a lifetime of laughter, lessons, and love that will forever live in their hearts.
Among his many achievements, Thomas held immense pride in his service to his country. He served eight years in the United States Navy, spending four years at sea aboard the USS Forrestal and four years stationed in Jacksonville, FL for shore duty. His dedication and sacrifice in service to his country remain one of his most noble legacies.
Thomas' passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Tina Cool; his daughters, Catherine Reyes (Eddie Reyes) and Savannah Corbitt (Miles Corbitt); his son, Peyton Cool; and two cherished grandchildren, Addison and Beau Corbitt. He is also survived by his mother, Linda Cool, along with a host of extended family members and friends who loved him dearly. Though his absence is deeply felt, Thomas found great joy in knowing he would be reunited in Heaven with his unborn son, his Maw Maw, his Uncle Dan, and many other beloved family members and friends who passed before him.
A Funeral and Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay Saint Louis, MS. Visitation from 8:30–11:00 AM. A service will begin immediately after, with interment to follow at Gulf Coast Memorial Cemetery on Longfellow Rd. in Bay Saint Louis.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Veterans Medical Center of New Orleans for their dedicated efforts and compassionate care over the past four years. A special thank you is also given to Tony Russo, a lifelong friend whose unwavering support and love remained constant until the very end.
Thomas' love, laughter, and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though deeply missed, his legacy of love and devotion will forever shine in the lives he touched.
