Theodore O'Neal Bilbo

March 22, 1946 — December 10, 2024

Bay St. Louis

Theodore “Teddy” O’Neal Bilbo Sr., 78, of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on March 22, 1946, in Kiln, Mississippi, Teddy spent his childhood exploring the great outdoors, where he cultivated a lifelong passion for hunting and fishing. Despite his love for nature, family always came first.
A devoted resident of Bay St. Louis, Teddy met the love of his life, Darlene, with whom he shared over 42 years of love and dedication. Together, they raised three children: Christine (Christy), Theodore (Ted), and Blake. He was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, and a proud resident of Hancock County. Teddy retired in 2011 after nearly 30 years as the Hancock County Agency Manager for Farm Bureau Insurance Company. He was admired for his dedication and leadership throughout his career.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew Bilbo and Lillian Bounds Bilbo Carver; his brothers, Hodges Bilbo and Herbert Carver; and his sisters, Diane Seal, Mary Schwartz, and Barbara Seal.

Teddy’s legacy lives on through his beloved wife, Darlene; his daughter, Christine (Robin) Ladner; his sons, Theodore (Ted) Bilbo (Johnnette) and Blake (Katherine) Bilbo; his siblings, Camilla Necaise, Carol Ann Thomas, Shirley Shipman, Cynthia Carver, Elaine Garner, Brenda White, and Henry Carver; his 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Local Chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA), St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or the American Heart Association (Dane, Co., of Wisconsin).

Honoring Teddy's wishes, a graveside service will take place on Saturday, December 14, at 12:00 p.m. at Gulf Coast Memorial Cemetery, located at 2143 Longfellow Drive, Bay St. Louis. Following the service, a Celebration of Life for family and close friends will be held at the home of Ted and Johnnette Bilbo, 2170 Mole Drive.

Edmond Fahey Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Theodore "Teddy" O'Neal Bilbo.
