Shannon Marie Champagne

Shannon Marie "Nae Nae" Champagne, 47, of Waveland, MS, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025, in Slidell, LA.

A devoted member of the Church of the King, Shannon cherished the moments spent with her loved ones and friends. She had a vibrant spirit, enjoying games of Bingo and cards, and relished every opportunity for laughter around the table with those she cared for. Her love extended to all four-legged companions, and she was known for her nurturing nature, always putting others before herself.

Shannon was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Arizona Champagne; mother, Sharon Smith; grandfather, Gerald Champagne; and grandmother, JoEllen Champagne.

She is survived by her daughter, Shyann Dougherty (Xavier); two sisters, Regina Thompson (Joey) and Patricia Netto (Gaylon); and three brothers, Daniel Netto (Katie), Eric Netto, and Joshua Netto (Allison). Additional family included three special friends, Monique Peterson, Jayla George, and Charles Nichols along with numerous nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Burial will follow on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Champagne Family Cemetery in Tylertown, MS, at 2:00 p.m.
