Roy "PeeWee" Joseph Dedeaux, Jr., 75, of Bay St. Louis, MS, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024, leaving behind a legacy cherished by his family and friends.

PeeWee was born and raised in New Orleans, LA, and moved to Bay St. Louis at a young age. He took great pride in his service with the United States Navy and was an avid fisherman, particularly fond of floundering. He enjoyed many fishing trips with family and friends and spent countless hours at "the camp" in Ansley. A devoted New Orleans Saints fan, he never missed a game, even if it meant listening to it on the radio from his boat.

Alongside his wife, Leverna, PeeWee co-owned the renowned Benigno's Restaurant in Bay St. Louis, where he became the welcoming face of the business, greeting customers with enthusiasm. He was also an active member of the American Legion Post 139 and the Italian Society.

PeeWee's love for his grandchildren was boundless, and he often took pride in their accomplishments. His unique spirit and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Violet Dedeaux; his in-laws, Sam and Geraldine Benigno; his step-son, Christopher Russ; and his son-in-law, Tim McDonald.

PeeWee is survived by his devoted wife, Leverna Benigno Dedeaux; his children, Steve Dedeaux (Tara), Michelle Dedeaux, Brandy Deibel (Andy), Joseph Dedeaux (Whitney), and Edward Dedeaux (Ashley); his grandchildren, Ethan McDonald, Jackson McDonald, Amaya Dedeaux, Reid Dedeaux, Mason Dedeaux, Hannah Deibel, Coby Deibel, Joe Dedeaux, Riley Dedeaux, Trace Dedeaux, and Grady Dedeaux; and his three sisters, Patsy Oliver (Wayne), Janice Dedeaux, and Terry Waltman (Dale), and numerous nieces and nephews. His children and grandchildren will carry forward his spirit and memory.
