Ronald Joseph James, 82, of Diamondhead, Mississippi, passed away in his home on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. 

Ronald was born to Theodore and Joyce James in New Orleans, Louisiana on May 5, 1941. He was an Aircraft Mechanic in the U.S. Navy and retired after 30 years of service. During his years in the Navy and retirement, he was an avid golfer and volleyball player. After retiring from the Navy, he loved trucking and woodworking. 

Ronald was preceded in death by his first wife of 52 years, Virginia James; his parents, Theodore and Joyce James; sister, Lynn Rae James; and sister-in-law, Lydia Jochum.

He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Anna James; two sons, Jeffrey James (Mark) and Russell James (Patricia); one grandchild, Jesse James; brother, Sonny James (Donna); step-son, Joseph Munson (Jennifer); step-daughter, Staci Newman; five step-grandchildren, Zackery, Joseph, Emma, Natalie, and Gavin; three sisters-in-law, Darlene Warner, Dora Meyer (John), and Cynthia Burke (Michael); step-aunt, Auntie; Makayla Marie; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.

Navy Honors and a Graveside service will take place at the Biloxi National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. Please arrive by 12:15 p.m.
