Robert Filmore Henley III

Robert Filmore Henley III, 82, of Bay St. Louis, MS, peacefully passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, December 26, 2024. 

He was skilled carpenter and an avid sportsman, he found joy in nature and bringing people together, often documenting these moments with his FujiFilm disposable cameras. He loved hosting parties at his home, wading for speckled trout, spending mornings hunting deer in the woods, and evenings at the camp cooking and playing cards with friends.

Robert was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose life was defined by a strong work ethic, generosity, and a deep love for his family and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert Filmore Henley Jr., mother, Rita Fayard Henley and sister, Diana Necaise

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Rebecca Cospelich Henley; two sisters, Cindy Bolton and Wanda Blanton; brother, Eric Henley; two daughters, Melissa Dearman and Melanie Humphries; son, Robert Henley IV; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Fayard Cemetery in Waveland, MS.
