Richard "Dick" Sawyer Jr., 65, of Diamondhead, MS, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.

Dick worked for 30 years with, and retired from, the Richmond Public Schools in Richmond, VA.

He loved golf, playing guitar, and music, His creative and artistic side was seen in the writing of songs and poems.

He is survived by his loving wife, Denise Sawyer; two daughters, Carly Sawyer and Kaylyn Sawyer; step-son, Erik Skogen, parents, Richard Sawyer Sr. and Mary "Lou" Gilman Sawyer; and one sister, Karen Sawyer.

The family will hold private services at a later date.
