Raymond Joseph Ellis, Sr., 86, of Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024.
Raymond was born in Bay Saint Louis to Frank and Lucille Ellis on March 26, 1938. He was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. After serving his country in the National Guard, Raymond was a well known business owner specializing in electrical and HVAC. Raymond never met a stranger and loved everyone. He often showed his love by helping those less fortunate, volunteering, and giving all that he had. His hobbies included football, horse racing, and he enjoyed all sports, especially those involving his grandchildren. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lucille Ellis; siblings, William T. Ellis, James J. Ellis, Emmett E. Ellis, Sr., Dorothy M. Nicholson, Edward L. Ellis, Louis G. "Pete" Ellis, John D. "JD" Ellis, and Debbie A. Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Patton Ellis; children, Janet Ellis Rigby (Gerald), Patricia Ann Cabaniss, Connie Ellis Cuevas, Raymond J. "Randy" Ellis, Jr. (Karen), Tammy Raymond, and Greg Ellis (Jamie); grandchildren, Amber Coghlan (Billy), Shelby Rigby, Lyndi Slade (Dustin), Skyler Cabaniss (Alex), Patrick Cuevas, Jerrod Rigby (Anna Grace), Bryan P. Raymond, Jr., Carston Raymond, Nikolas Ellis, and Raymond J. Ellis, III; great-grandchildren, Everleigh Slade, Presley Coghlan, and Hadleigh Slade; siblings, Alberta A. Dunn (DJ), Helen L. Leoni, Shirley M. Maxwell (Darryll), Yvonne M. White (Danny), Myrtle M. Hutchens (Johnny), and Frank T. "Buddy" Ellis, Jr. (Mary); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will take place on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. Visitation from 11:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. Mass at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Bay St. Louis.
