Norman Todd Key, 51, of Waveland, MS passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023 in Gulfport, MS.
Todd graduated from Huntsville High School in 1990 and Delgado Culinary Arts in New Orleans in 2003. He was an avid Auburn Tiger and a New Orleans Saints fan who was a dedicated season ticket holder and member of the WHO DAT Nation for over two decades. He was a Bass player who loved making music with his friends in the bands, Angelstorm and Keepers of the Crystal in his younger years. He was a huge dog lover and he enjoyed all things on the water. He loved his friends dearly and helped many people in their time of need.
Todd was an excellent Chef who loved to feed and entertain at his home and at the several places he worked over the 23+ years he called the MS Gulf Coast area home. Todd's favorite places were the Goodlife, Blue Bayou at the Silver Slipper Casino, and 200 North Beach Bar & Restaurant. Todd rode out Hurricane Katrina in his home in Waveland and he was instrumental in helping many others in the community who stayed in the aftermath of the storm.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Farrell Key; mother, Mary Beth Pichelmayer; grandparents, John W. Key, Jr. and Billie Lee Ward, and Billy Drew Pichelmayer and Mary Eleanor Putman.
He is survived by his daughter, Aaliyah Key; two brothers, Jay Hawkins and Erik Perkins and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
