Myrl Maxine Sims

Myrl Maxine Cuevas LaFontaine Sims, 92, of Bay St. Louis, MS passed away Friday, March 8, 2024, in Bay St. Louis.

Ms. Sims was of the Mormon Faith. She enjoyed playing the guitar and singing with family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Lawrence Joseph LaFontaine and Alvia Lee “Bill” Sims; son, Alan “Dude” Jude LaFontaine; father, Ernest “Gator” Frank Cuevas, Sr.; mother, Donnie Alberta Carlton Cuevas; sister, Elsie Love Cuevas Fricke; brother, Ernest “Ernie” Frank Cuevas, Jr.; and granddaughter, Angeline Necaise.

Survived by her daughter, Maxine M. LaFontaine Necaise; son, Lawrence “Larry” John LaFontaine (Nancy); five grandchildren, Davey Necaise (Becky), Donna Necaise Phillips, Destin Necaise, Amie LaFontaine Ladner (Chris), Josh LaFontaine (Cassie); 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.
