Miyuki Koyanagi Carver of Bay St. Louis, MS passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, November 30, 2024, which beautifully coincided with her 91st birthday.
Miyuki was born in the historic city of Nagasaki, Japan, she found a new home in Bay St. Louis, MS in 1960, alongside her late husband, Clifford Carver. She was an active member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, where her spirit and grace touched many lives.
Throughout her remarkable life, Mrs. Carver faced and triumphed over numerous challenges. From surviving the devastating bombing of Nagasaki to weathering Hurricane Camille and Hurricane Katrina, her resilience was an inspiration to all who knew her. Beyond her strength, she was a gifted seamstress, an avid gardener, and a passionate cook, sharing her talents and love with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, John Carver.
She is lovingly remembered by her five children: Michael Carver (Taly), Joseph Carver (Joy), Micki Clifton (Mickey), Linda Carver, and David Carver (Jacquline). Her legacy continues through her eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who carry forward her loving spirit.
A visitation in honor of Mrs. Carver will be held at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 10 AM to 11 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Gulf Coast Memorial Cemetery and Mausoleum in Bay St. Louis, MS.
