Michael R. “Ricky” Reaves passed away on December 19, 2023, at the age of 49 years old. A resident of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Ricky loved all that the coast had to offer. He spent his time fishing, at the beach, and hanging out with friends and family. Ricky was a master electrician by trade and most recently was the Chief Engineer at the Sheraton Hotel Metairie.
Growing up NOLA strong, Who Dat & Geaux Tigers was shouted often and loudly. The weekends were meant for Saints and LSU, unless The Stylin’, profilin’, limousine riding, jet flying, kiss-stealing, wheelin’ n’ dealin’ son of a gun WWE Superstar Ric Flair was on- WOOOOO!!! Nature boy was no stranger to the good times of Mardi Gras both on and off the float.
As a young man, Ricky played baseball and basketball. His love for baseball brought Ricky to coach Babe Ruth Baseball and later coached his daughter Carly, in Dixie Softball. A true patriot, Ricky loved his country, loved his Westbank roots, and loved his family. In true Ricky fashion, on his wedding day, when asked by Judge KK Norman, “Do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife,” he replied, “AbSoLuTeLy!!!”
Ricky leaves behind the ultimate loves of his life, his wife of 19 years, Tara, daughter, Carly & his kitty cat Pocha. The son of Barbara Johnson, Ricky continues to be loved on earth by his in-laws: Cecile & Brian Feeney, Brothers, Robert “Robbie” Reaves III (Aimee), Kyle McHugh, Garrett McHugh (Alison), and his many Uncles, Aunts, Niece, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
Ricky is predeceased in death by his dad, Robert M. Reaves, stepmom, Rebecca “Becky” Reaves, sister, Robyn Reaves, beloved grandparents, and Uncle, Toni Reaves.
