Mae Elaine Grass, 75, a beautiful soul, entered the gates of Heaven on Saturday, June 24, 2023. She was welcomed by her husband, Emile Bourgeois, Father, Andrew Nelson, Mother, Ollie Bilbo Nelson, son, John Grass, sister Juliette Landtroop, and brother, Donald Nelson.
Elaine was born on November 3rd, 1947, in Bay St Louis and was a lifelong resident of Bay St Louis. She was happy to call the coast her home. She was kind, loving, and rarely said no to anyone. Elaine was employed by the Bay/Waveland school district for 23 years. She enjoyed Bingo, cooking the holiday dinners, reading romance novels, and her dogs.
Elaine is survived by a son, Andrew Grass(Pearl) of Biloxi MS; three daughters, Renee Gibson (Frank) of Royse City, Texas; Michelle Page of Kiln, MS; and Belinda Grass of Bay St Louis, MS; 10 grandchildren, Savannah Knox (Thomas) of Hazlehurst, Georgia; Adrianna Grass of Bay St. Louis MS; Dustin Gibson (McKenzie) of Dallas, Texas; Jarred Gibson (Rebecca ) of Canton, Texas; Drake Gibson of Royse City, Texas; Megan Raffeo ( Austin ), Jason Henry Burge (JJ), Jayden Burge all of Pass Christian, MS; Erika Page and Devon Duffy both of Kiln, MS; 15 great-grandchildren, Javarius Goldsmith, Kaliq Knox, Gredon Norton, Dajianna Boudreaux, Xavier Boudreaux, Lilith Steber, Emmie Steber, Yuri Duffy, Ezekiel Duffy, Vayla Raffeo, Angel Raffeo, Brynleigh Raffeo, Callie Raffeo, Dakota Gibson, and Roman Gibson; two sisters, Joyce Cuevas of Gulfport, MS; and Cathy Ladner of Kiln, MS; two brothers, Tommy Nelson (Elaine ) of Saucier, MS; and Peter Nelson (Margo ) of Bay St Louis, MS; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins that she loved dearly. However, she did form a special bond with two nieces, Donnell Landtroop of Waveland, MS; and Ariel Ladner of Kiln, MS.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday June 30th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS with a Prayer Service at 3:00 pm. Interment will follow at Bayou Coco Cemetery in Kiln, MS.
