Lois Jean Speidel Anderson, 96, of Slidell, LA passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, in Slidell, LA, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love and community spirit.
Born on March 23, 1928, in East McKeesport, PA, Lois lived a life rich with experiences and connection. In her earlier years, she called Venice, FL, and Diamondhead, MS, home before finding her way to Slidell in 2012. Throughout her time in Diamondhead, Lois was an active and cherished member of the Diamondhead Community Presbyterian Church and took part in various local clubs, where she formed close friendships and brightened the lives of those around her.
Lois was a proud graduate of Greensburg High School, where she completed her education in 1946. She began her career at Westinghouse Air Brake Company, but in May 1949, her heart was forever intertwined with her beloved husband, Charles William "Bill" Anderson. Together they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and unwavering love.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; daughter, Doreen Lynn and her parents, Ernest and Ruth Baker Speidel.
Her spirit lives on in her beloved daughters, Lynda Wright of Slidell, LA, and Marsha Pavliak of Venice, FL, and in the hearts of her brother, Donald Ernest Speidel of Irwin, PA, her five grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Passages Hospice: 20081 Highway 36, Covington, LA 70433.
The family looks forward to honoring her memory with a Celebration of Life service in the spring of 2025, a testament to a life well-lived and deeply cherished.
