Leigh Michael Reese

Leigh Michael Reese, 52, of Waveland, MS passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023, in Waveland.

Leigh was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church in Waveland. He was a paraprofessional at Little Oak Middle School in the St. Tammany Parish School System, a job he really loved. He was a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor's Degree in coaching and sports administration.

Leigh was the ultimate sports fan. His family called him Mr. Football. He was an encyclopedia of sports statistics. He was also a Star Wars and Star Trek fan. He had a very infectious laugh, a great sense of humor, and loved to travel.

He was so excited about the birth of his and Leslie’s first grandchild, Ainsley Kate. He will forever be her “Grumps”. Leigh was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend who will be sadly missed by all.

Leigh was preceded in death by his father, Louis Reese, Sr.; sister, Lynley Brown; brother, Louis Reese, Jr.; grandparents, Marietta “Mere” Alloy and Joseph Alloy and grandmother Marie Eagan; step-father-in-law, Stephen Burch; and sister-in-law, Lucretia Boshell.

He is Survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Leslie Reese and daughter, Michaela Reese both of Waveland, MS; son, Chad Burch (Kelly) and granddaughter, Ainsley Kate Burch all of Clinton, MS; mother, Pam Brown and step-father Paul Brown of Waveland, MS; brother, Justin Reese (Amanda) of Chalmette, LA; sister, Jessica Reese of Arabi, LA; mother-in-law, Debi Burch of Waveland, MS; father-in-law, Kenneth Boshell, Sr. of Jacksonville, FL; sister-in-law Tara Reese of Metairie, LA; two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Boshell, Jr. (Rebecca) of Cincinnati, OH; Phillip Brown (Janet) of Slidell, LA; two nieces, five nephews, 3 great-nieces, and 1 great-nephew.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm with a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 pm at St. Clare Catholic Church in Waveland. Interment will be at Bayou LaCroix Cemetery immediately after Mass.
