Laura E. Butters

Laura E. Butters, 83, of Waveland, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, happily joining the love of her life, Thomas H. Butters.

Laura loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, and dog, Chico aka "Beep-beep." Her hobbies and interests included: cooking, playing piano, roosters, singing hymns, and Conway Twitty. Laura was also quite the people-person and will be missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Butters; parents, Richard and Gladys Kennedy; grandchild, Rodney Lick; two great great-grandchildren, Gabriel Simpson and Liam Simpson; four brothers, J.R. Kennedy, J.W. Kennedy, Toby Kennedy, and Horace Kennedy; and sister, Joyce Faye West.

She is survived by nine children, Mildred Carver, Eugenia Raudales (Leonel), Andrew Lick III (Ruth), Rhonda Lick, Laura Delle (Jeff), Camille Keyes, Shelby Marsh (David), Carl Butters (Jerry), and William Chambers (Carol); 32 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; two great great-granddaughters, Elianna Glasenapp and Emersyn Glasenapp; one great great-grandson, Oscar Hernandez; one sister, Henrietta Sievers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home, 110 South Necaise Ave., Bay Saint Louis, MS 39520, on Friday, November 10, 2023. Visitation 1:30 p.m. till 3:00 p.m. Funeral at 3:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Rotten Bayou-St. Joseph Cemetery in Hancock County, Mississippi.
