Judith Ann Favre Cooksey

Judith "Judy" Favre Cooksey, 78, of Waveland, MS passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023 in Gulfport, MS.

Judy graduated in 1962 from St. Joseph Academy in Bay St. Louis, MS. She was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis.

She loved to dance, sports, especially watching her grandson pitch and her granddaughter play basketball, and she was an avid reader.

Judy was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all she met.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael "Mike" Wayne Cooksey, and parents, James and Adele Davis Favre.

She is survived by her two sons, James Michael (Sonja) and Steven Wayne; and two grandchildren, Cooper Steven and Stevie Elizabeth.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church: 228 South Beach Blvd. Bay St. Louis, MS 39520.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 17, 2023, at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Waveland Cemetery in Waveland, MS.
