Joan Girot Noel

Joanie, as she liked to be called, was born December 28, 1940 in New Orleans, LA. to Judlin H. and Vivian L. Girot. She has been married to Mark G. Noel since 1989. She was a resident of Bay St. Louis for 23 years. She will be sadly missed but happily remembered by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Judlin Henry Girot and Vivian LaPorte Girot Barron and brother Henry Girot.

She is survived by her husband Mark G. Noel; sons, Erik Christian Mecom (wife Imelda) and Andrew Lee Mecom (wife Lisa); grandsons, Alexander Girot Mecom and Stephen Bing Mecom (wife Bria); granddaughters, Sarah Mecom Price (Husband Patrick) and Lindsey Claire Mecom; great-grandson, Alistair Bing Mecom and numerous cousins, relatives, and friends.

During her lifetime she was a sponge for knowledge and a great help to many.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, March of Dimes, or the charity of your choice.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 17, 2022 at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church: 228 South Beach Blvd., Bay St. Louis, MS 39520 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at OLG Life center.
