Janet Luxich Wiggins,70, of Kiln, MS passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024 in Kiln, MS.
Janet's life was a beautiful testament to love, compassion, and unwavering faith.
A proud graduate of Bay High School in 1973. She completed nursing school in 1977. Throughout her career as a dedicated nurse, she touched countless lives with her kindness and expertise, demonstrating that nursing was not just a profession for her, but her true calling.
Janet was also a founding member of Shoreline Park Baptist Church, established in 1964. Her passion for teaching shone brightly as she began leading Sunday School classes in 1978. She devoted herself to guiding young hearts in their spiritual journeys, and her enthusiasm for Vacation Bible School made her a beloved figure, especially known as the craft teacher who inspired creativity in children.
Janet's legacy of faith and service will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
As we reflect on Janet’s beautiful life, let us remember her unwavering trust in God and her immeasurable love for her family and community. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, reminding us all to live with compassion and purpose, just as she did.
Beyond her work, Janet found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed knitting, nurturing her garden, and creating cherished memories with her beloved family. Her greatest happiness stemmed from the time spent with her grandsons, Jacob and Domonic, who filled her heart with love and laughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, R.L. "Red" Luxich and Bernice Luxich; brothers, Ray Pennington and Ralph Luxich, and sisters Onelia Luxich Tupper, Annie Luxich Piper, and Judy Luxich McKay.
Janet is lovingly remembered by her husband of 51 years, David Wiggins, and their children, Brad Wiggins (Kathryn) and Melinda Jones (James), as well as her grandchildren, Jacob and Domonic. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Sheri, Rachel, Nicole, Logan, and Bobby, who will carry her spirit forward.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 11, 2024 at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Bay St. Louis, MS.
