Jackson Aaron Rodriguez, 18, of Diamondhead, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023.
Jackson was a recent high school graduate. He loved his job at Taco Bell where he was an exceptional employee on the fast track to management. He had plans to attend MS Gulf Coast Community College for their trade school program in Heavy Equipment Operations.
He loved all things football, especially his beloved Saints and LSU, who he loved to see beat their rival, Alabama, who just happened to be his dad's favorite team–quite the inner family sports rivalry for sure. He loved driving and road trips. He had a contagious laugh, many close friends, and adored his eleven-year-old little sister, Isabella. Those who knew him speak of him as a good kid and extremely respectful. Jackson will be missed very much by his family and friends and all who knew him.
Jackson was preceded in death by his step-father, Kerry Burzelleri; and grandmother, Mary Olita Wicktom.
He is survived by his mother, Melissa Hilliard; father, Jose Rodriguez (Shawndalyn); sisters, Isabella Burzelleri, Melissa Rodriguez, Jenay Rodriguez, Gabby Rodriguez, and Zoey Rodriguez; brothers, Parker Ortiz, Christopher Rodriguez, Justin Rodriguez, Mason Rodriguez, and David Rodriguez; best-friend "brother", Jayden M. Hendricks; grandfather, James Wicktom; grandparents, Randy and Kay Burzelleri; two aunts, Renay Hilliard and Brandy Burzelleri; uncle, James Hilliard; numerous cousins; and his loving long-term girlfriend, Nylin Gardner.
