Harold E. "Gene" Bermond

 Harold E. "Gene" Bermond, 69, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023, in Gulfport, MS.
 Gene was born on April 27, 1954, in Bay St. Louis, MS to Harold L. and Joyce Lee Bermond.
 His heart was big and made of gold.  He was so proud of his two sons, and his grandchildren were his biggest joys in life; they adored him. We all love him and already feel the void in losing him. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and loyal friend who will be sadly missed.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rene & Hattie Delcuse Bermond; maternal grandparents, Camille Asher & Nora Necaise Asher; parents, Harold L. Bermond & Joyce Lee Bermond; infant sister, Shona Marie Bermond; father-in-law, Willie A. Holcomb, Sr.; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
 He is survived by his wonderful and loving wife, Kay Bermond, his son, Jeremy E. Bermond (Bridgett) and their children Bailey Bermond, Peyton Bermond, and Finnley Bermond, and his son, Joshua M. Bermond (Leanne Beard) and his children Jonah Bermond and Stephanie Creel; two sisters, Debbie Carr, and Sharon Peterson (Greg); mother-in-law, Mary Holcomb; sister-in-law, Enola Holcomb; brothers-in-law, Dennis Holcomb (Kim) and Willie A. Holcomb, Jr. (Tami); and many loved nieces & nephews.
 Visitation will be Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS from 9:30 am until 10:45 am. A Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery also in Bay St. Louis and a reception will immediately follow at the Our Lady of the Gulf Christian Life Center.
