Gregory Joseph Zimek

Greg was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Waveland for 40 years. He was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church in Waveland, owner of Advance Fire Protection from 1996-2015 and retired member of the UA Local 669, Sprinkler Fitter.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph G. Zimek and stepfather, Ross C. Burke.

Survivors include his mother, Betty H. Burke of Waveland, brother Bobby Zimek (Kim), wife Beverly Zimek of Waveland, his 2 sons & 2 daughters, Charles Zimek of Marrero, LA, Christy Schafer (Duncan) of Kiln, Nick Caldwell (Kristen) of Broomfield, CO & Heather Nielsen (Jason) of Waveland, grandchildren Darion McElveen, Conner Caldwell, Brieanna Zimek, Gracie Zimek, Jeremiah Caldwell, Olivia Caldwell, Edwin Caldwell, Adam Nielsen, Noah Nielsen, 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.

Visitation is Tuesday April, 19, 2022 10am-11am followed by a mass at 11am at St. Clare Catholic Church in Waveland, MS. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory in Bay St. Louis, MS.
