Gloria Marie Delaune Traub, 98, of Bay St. Louis, MS passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024 in Bay St. Louis, MS.
Gloria was a member of First Baptist Church in Bay St. Louis, MS, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Colonial Dames.
She was employed as a Secretary for Todd's Shipyard in New Orleans, LA, Calvary Baptist Church in Algiers, LA, and Smith, Smith & Tate with Senator Martin Smith in Poplarville, MS. She was the owner of Traub's Christian Bookstore in Bogalusa, LA from 1975-1990. She was Lay Chaplain at Bogalusa Medical Center in Bogalusa and Baptist Health Systems in Corbin, KY.
Gloria enjoyed reading, singing in several Church Choirs, quilting, sewing and teaching Bible classes at different Churches that she belonged to.
She was preceded in death by her husband, August Charles Traub, Jr.; three sisters, Joy D. Marks, Kathryn Delaune, and Adelle D Gerrets; and mother, Emma Gatlin Delaune.
She was survived by her son, August Charles Traub III (Dianne McCardle) of Bay St. Louis, MS; two granddaughters, Tonya Gabrielle Traub Stodghill (Justin) of Royce City, TX; and Elsie Marie "Emmy" Traub (Fiance', Charles Blackwood) of Gulfport, MS; and three nieces, Dawn Gerrets, Danna Necaise, and Beth Treadaway of LA.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date with burial at Landrum Cemetery in Lumberton, MS.
