Glenda Catherine Schneider Hunter, 82, of Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
Glenda was born on July 22, 1941 to William and Elidia Johnson in Louisiana. She was a proud member of the Sisters of Amvets Ladies Auxiliary and VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Glenda was a very strong, caring, giving, and loving woman. She showed us how to live our lives by her example. The most important thing to Glenda was her family. She made sure everyone felt loved. Glenda was a career woman. She worked in the food broker industry in the first part of her life and the second part had a career in hospitality management. Every place she worked she made lifelong friends. Every person she met felt welcomed and cared for. She was the epitome of a mother. She is loved and will be missed by many.
Glenda was preceded in death by her first husband, David R. Schneider, Sr.; second husband, Charles Raeborn Hunter; grandson, David Schneider III; parents, William S. and Elidia Chandler Johnson; beloved grandparents, Elmore and Albertine Chandler; and brother, William S. Johnson, Jr.
She is survived by three children, David R. Schneider, Jr., Janell L. Forstall (Greg), and Jennifer L. Iniguez; grandchildren, Derrick R. Schneider, Megan Schneider, Alyce Schneider, Heidi S. Bayhi, Lawrence "Jake" Forstall (Heather), Damian G. Ward (Kalie), and Nathan L. Ward; great-grandchildren, Haley Catherine Bayhi, Izabella Wilkinson, Dana Ward, and Gloria Forstall; brothers, Dale T. Johnson and Russell Johnson (Valerie); beloved cousin, Charlene Richardson Nabak; sisters-in-law, Shirley Moore Agnew (Raymond) and Ilsa Hunter; many nieces, nephews, and their families; and many friends.
Services will be held at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Visitation from 10:30 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m.
