George Emory Mills, 74, of Eight Mile, AL, passed away suddenly on December 27 in Waveland, MS. He had been battling congestive heart failure for several months. He was born to William and Pauline Mills on September 12, 1950.

George's biggest passion in life was music. He was an avid guitarist and had a career spanning over 55 years. While the violin was his first love, he enjoyed playing the Bass Guitar. George had the opportunity to work with "The Drifters", "Wet Willie", and "Doug Kershaw." He entertained hundreds at countless venues throughout his career along the Gulf Coast. George was a dynamic and talented artist with an unmatched passion for playing music. He never met a stranger, and always focused on creating a connection with the people he came in contact with.

George is preceded in death by his mother Pauline, his father William, and his sister Alice Ann Loper.

He is survived by his two brothers, Joe Mills (Sue) and Donnie Mills (Bonnie), and his son Wyatt Mills.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held at Trax Bar and Grill at 830 E Railroad St, Long Beach, MS, starting at noon on February 15, 2025. Please come and join us as we celebrate and remember George Mills.
