Frances Lipps Johnson

Frances Lipps Johnson, 77, of Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, December 2024.

Frances was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 11, 1947 to Frank Joseph Lipps and Rita Dordar. She was a proud citizen of the United Houma Nation, and worked the last ten years for them in Employment Services. Frances was a people person, loved to travel, loved to dance, and loved making Native American crafts, such as dream catchers, earrings, and necklaces. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Frances was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Decote; daughter, Stephanie Decote Methvien; and parents, Frank Joseph Lipps and Rita Dordar.

She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Eddie Johnson; three sons, Frank Decote, Doug Camp, and Thomas Camp; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 5 siblings, Pat Sheila, Louis, Sandy, and Bobby; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment will take place at the Biloxi National Cemetery. Please check back for date and time for the graveside service.
