Forrest Alphonse Bourgeois, Jr, 77, of Grand Bay, AL passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023 in Mobile, AL.
He was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and continued as a Staff Sergeant E6 in the Army National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion Post 77. He worked and retired after 27 years with the RailRoad and also worked for the Waveland Police Department and Hancock County Sheriff's Department. Forrest was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Bonita Bourgeois.
He is survived by his wonderful and loving wife of 30 years, Shawn Ray Bourgeois of Grand Bay, AL; son, Forrest Robert Bourgeois of Grand Bay, AL; two grandchildren, Brenna Shawn and Bailey Patricia Bourgeois; two brothers, Clyde Joseph Bourgeois of Waveland, MS and Shelton Edward Bourgeois of Columbia, MS; sister, Earline Bourgeois Thomas of Waveland, MS and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 10, 2023 at St. Clare Catholic Church in Waveland, MS from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon. Burial to follow at Waveland City Cemetery in Waveland, MS.
