Eudora “Andora” Pierce MacNair Smith passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at the Hospice House in Slidell, LA.

Andora was a longtime resident of Pass Christian, MS.

She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, longtime local business owner, "Andora’s Holistic Therapies" artist, beloved, involved community and church member.

Andora (also known as “Dora”) was born in Wilmington, Delaware, in 1947 and grew up in Swarthmore, PA and Georgetown, Washington D.C. As an adult, Andora traveled the Globe and lived in several different parts of the country, including The Big Island of Hawaii, before settling on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Andora’s early interest and natural ability in the healing arts and holistic wellness guided her successful career as a business owner in the wellness space, bodyworker and herbalist. Her many talents and passions included pottery, singing, gardening, playing guitar, volunteering, painting, watching the sunset and the moonrise over the beach at Henderson Point, rescuing stray cats and dogs, Bible Study, and spending time with her dear friends. Andora’s lifelong service to helping the downtrodden and those less fortunate, people and animals, touched and healed many. Her strong spirituality and faith in God was her guiding light.

Andora was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret & Pierce MacNair and sister, Victoria Todd. 

She is survived by her daughter, Swanna S. MacNair; son, Nicholas M. Smith; granddaughter, Bee Rose Smythe; brother, Andrew MacNair (Johanna); sister, Caroline MacNair; nephew, Harrison Todd; niece, Sarah B. Todd; niece, Femke MacNair; niece, Chloe Fox; son-in-law, Christian Smythe and beloved extended family, Glenda & Jack Schornick and Greg Gillan.
