Ernest "Ernie" Cecil Poillion

Ernest "Ernie" C. Poillion, Jr., 65, of Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024.

Ernie was born and raised in Bay Saint Louis. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bay St. Louis for 65 years. He was very devoted to the Lord and loved spending time in the Scriptures everyday. In 1979, Ernie married Ethel, whom he adored for all 44 years of their life together. He loved his kids, grandkids, and all the rest of his family and many friends. He loved fishing, shrimping, and crabbing. Ernie lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by many.

Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest, Sr. and Margaret Poillion; and brother, William "Bill" Poillion.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Ethel Poillion; daughter, Jennifer Poillion; son, Timothy Poillion; three grandchildren, Mallory Marziale and Dylan and Landon Scott; sister, Kathy Hager; two nieces, Heather and Ashley; and one nephew, Jason.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Gentiva Hospice for all they have done and a very special thanks to Mindy, who took special care of Ernie. 

Services will be held at First Baptist Church in Bay St. Louis on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m.
