Emily Sophia LaFontaine

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Emily Sophia LaFontaine, age 14, of Pass Christian, MS, who left us on Thursday, November 14, 2024. Emily’s vibrant spirit and infectious laughter touched the lives of everyone she met, creating beautiful memories that will forever resonate in our hearts.

A cherished member of Calvary Chapel, Emily’s love for life was evident in everything she did. She had a unique gift for making people laugh and felt a deep joy in sharing moments with her family and friends. Whether she was watching her favorite movies or whipping up delicious treats in the kitchen, Emily lived each day with a joyful heart. While her time with us was far too short, the love and laughter Emily brought into our lives will forever remain in our hearts.

Emily leaves behind her devoted mother, Brandy A. LaFontaine, and her beloved sisters, Kamila R. LaFontaine and Branissa A. Stroud (Shawn Bilbo). She is also survived by a large family who loved her immensely, including brothers and sisters: John C. Royals, Brance A. Stroud, Lathan M. Stroud, Peyton L. Connelly, Mia E. Harter, Sae'Vyn G. Stroud, Briyanah A. Taylor, and Sabrina Scholes (Noah). Her Oma, Millie Dauenhauer (Monk); Grammy, Elaine Redditt along with aunts and uncles, Tanya Connelly (Patrick), Troy Adams (Roxanne), Miguel Martinez (Melissa), Russ Royals, Donnie Cleveland, and Stacey Harter (Kyle), as well as numerous cousins and extended family, will cherish her memory always.

As we remember Emily, we invite friends and family to join us in honoring her life. Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Church of the King, located at 317 Reese St., Bay St. Louis, MS, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., followed by a Prayer Service at 5:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to The Starfish Project: A Mental Health program to help support the well-being of young people in the Pass Christian School District.
