Donna Mae Ray Jones

Donna Mae Ray Jones, 83, of Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024.

Donna was born on August 27, 1940, in Kenna, West Virginia, to Minnie Walker and Baisel Gandee. She loved visiting casinos, playing bingo, shopping in catalogs, clothing, and was proud of her shoe collection. Donna Mae Ray Jones was an outstanding, vibrant, and colorful people person.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, MSGT Robert E. Jones; son, Charles “Chuckie” Clyde Ray; grandson, Jamie Lee; great-grandson, Dailyn Clyde Mars Delano; adopted son, Herbert Williams; parents, Basil Gandee and Minnie Walker; sister, Betty Kerns; brother, Clemit Gandee; nephew, Eddie Lee Hunt; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Jean Chess (Coburn); son, Oral Ray (Lynette); daughter, Belinda Ray Gallon (Robert); grandchildren, Jennifer Mast (Wendell), Jason Todd O'neil Chess, Christopher Ray, Sean Ian Ray (Michelle), Joshua Oneal Gibbons, Stephanie Mae Ray Miller (Jordan), Regina Mae Powell, Heather Ann Ray, Amber Michelle Ray; great-grandchildren, Logan, Cody, Jason, Jaycie, Brelee, Jaylee, Noah, Mason, Preston, Colt, Meadow, Tyler, Emmersyn, Leilah, Sophia, Jermaine, L'leigh, Isabella, and Gabriella; siblings, Wilda Karl (Robert), Edith Stalnaker (Edward), Jim Gandee (Geri); daughter-in-law, Kelly Weese Ray; numerous nieces and nephews; goddaughter, Patrice Williams; and her long-time companion, Patrick D. Green.

Services will take place on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home, Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi. Visitation from 10:30 a.m. till 11:30 a.m. Funeral at 11:30 a.m. Interment at the Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, Mississippi at 1:30 p.m.
