Destiney DeNae LaFontaine

Destiney DeNae LaFontaine, 32, of Kiln, MS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 15, 2024, surrounded with love by her family and friends. She was born on November 9, 1992, in Gulfport, MS. Destiney was a loving fiancée, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, Godmother, aunt, and friend to so many who will miss her dearly.

Destiney’s caring spirit and generous heart could be felt by anyone she came in contact with. She had a special gift of not only seeing the good in people but bringing out the best in them as well. She was an avid lover of the outdoors and spent much of her time camping, fishing, and hunting. She especially enjoyed the serene beauty of the beach and all it encompassed. Destiney had a love of music and dancing which was an expression of her carefree and fun spirit. 

She is proceeded in death by her paternal grandparents, Harold LaFontaine and Bonnie Yarborough LaFontaine; maternal grandfather, Willys Garcia; grandparents-in-law, Gloria Asher and Louis Asher; step-father, Van Guaraggi; aunt, LaDonna Robertson; great-uncle, Eddie Peterson; and uncle, Raymond LaFontaine.

Services will take place on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Refuge Baptist Church located at 5755 Rocky Hill Dedeaux Road Kiln, MS 39556. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. Funeral at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Bayou Lacroix Cemetery, Bay St. Louis, MS.
