Dayna Katherine Blancaneaux

Dayna Katherine Blancaneaux, also known as Dayna Arthur, entered into eternal rest on June 29, 2023 at the age of 60.

She is survived by her daughter, Aria Arthur (Frank Clark), as well as her grandchildren, Chase Clark and Sutton Clark. She was born on May 23, 1963 to Ronald Blancaneaux Sr. (Patsy) and the late Billie Dixon. Her late paternal grandparents, John F. Blancaneaux and Ethelyn Blancaneaux, also played a significant role in her upbringing. She was the sister of Ronald Blancaneaux, Jr., Michael Blancaneaux, Dawn Blancaneaux, Trisha Davidson, Leslie DiSalvo, and the late Dara Blancaneaux. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as other loving family members and friends.

She grew up on the Westbank and was a lifelong resident of the New Orleans area. She was a graduate from the 1981 class of L.W. Higgins High School. She had a great laugh and a smile that shone through whenever she was enjoying herself. Her pastimes include photography and driving the boat out on Lake Pontchartrain. She loved the outdoors, especially fishing and crabbing. She will always be remembered for her fun and loving personality and being a caring mother and grandmother.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a memorial service at First Baptist Church, 380 S. Jamie Blvd., in Avondale on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
