Carolyn Ann Peoples, 63, of Picayune, died Saturday, October 1, 2022.
She was born on September 24, 1959, in Bay St. Louis to Marie Carver Luc and Thomas Luc.
Carolyn served the Food Service Department of the Hancock County School District for 27 years. She enjoyed Saints football, Mardi Gras, nature, the Gulf Coast beaches, music, heritage, and spending time with kids, grandkids, family and friends. She loved to cook and made sure everyone was always fed. You could never visit her home and leave without a full stomach and knowing that you were loved. Bay St. Louis was home to her, but NOLA held a special place in her heart.
Survivors include her loving husband, Jerry, of Picayune; brother, Kenneth Necaise, of Bay St. Louis, daughters, Melissa Gutierrez, of Picayune and Denay Landry, of Baton Rouge; son, Stephen Landry, of Ocean Spring; stepdaughters, Katie Peoples and Stacey Dorton of Kountze; stepsons, Jerry Daniel Peoples and Matt Peoples of Kansas City; grandchildren, Jewlia, Elise, Olivia, Jaxon, Emery, Madison, Stephen, Nathan, Ryan, Lincoln, Carrington, Anna, Abby, Ethan and Karly.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, brothers; Donald Ray Necaise, Reno Joseph Necaise, Jr, Gerald Necaise, Terrel Necaise, sister; Norma Morel, and sister-in-law; Cherriel Ann Necaise.
A gathering of Carolyn’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. with her memorial service at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis.
Any remembrance for Carolyn can be carried out by making donations to The ALS Association or Team Gleason Foundation.
The family asks that in memory of Carolyn to please wear something in reference to the Saints, or Mardi Gras.
