Betty Meek Comar, 71, amazing mother and grandmother, wonderful sister, and a loving friend with a big heart and a passion for her cooking, was reunited with the love of her life Dec. 24, 2024 as she and her beloved Mike spent their first heavenly Christmas together.
She was the wife of the late Michael Comar, who brought so much joy into her life for 25 years; mother of Eric Giandelone of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Brian Giandelone (Katie Vance) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; grandmother of Samantha and Andrew Giandelone; sister to Richard Meek (Sam Crosby) of Ponchatoula, Louisiana; several cousins; numerous friends, including those from VFW Post 6640 in Metairie, Louisiana; and her faithful fuzzy companion Daisy. Daughter of the late Richard Meek Sr. and Marguerite Resseguet Meek.
A New Orleans, Louisiana native, Betty was born Oct. 23, 1953, and was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy and Soule Business College in New Orleans. She spent more than 40 years as a legal secretary at Milling Benson Woodward in New Orleans. She was a devoted mother who deeply loved her sons and took great delight in spending time and spoiling her grandchildren, a love so evident by her radiant smile when recalling visits with Samantha and Andy. Her greatest joy came from her life with Mike, for theirs was an inspiring love story that ended far too soon in this life but will continue eternally.
