Barbara Ann Hill

Barbara Ann Hill passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023 at the age of 78. She was born on November 18, 1944 in New Orleans, Louisiana.  She is preceded in death by her mother Ella Dean, step-father James "Jimmy" Dean, father John Hill and her son Mike Gray. Barbara is survived by her sister Virginia “Ginger” Dean, her daughter Carin Hunter, sons Matt Gray (Jennifer) and John Ladner (Myra), her grandchildren Richard Hunter III, Cheyenne Gray, Madeline and Morgan Ladner, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Barbara lived in Kiln, MS for many years raising, training and showing dogs and horses. She owned a dog training/grooming and boarding business, in which she trained and showed her own dogs and taught classes to new pet owners on dog obedience. Barbara worked with dog handlers training protection dogs. She would take in overflow from shelters to foster dogs that were up for adoption, until they could find their forever homes. She enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, dancing and loved fresh seafood. She will be greatly missed.
