Arthur Neil "Bud" Garitty

Arthur Neil “Bud” Garitty, 59, of Shelbyville, KY passed away Monday, January 8, 2024, in Gulfport, MS.

He was a member of Cedar Lake Christian Assembly in Biloxi, MS, loved spending time with his family and enjoyed bowling.

Arthur was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Christian Garitty and sister, Kelly Jean Garitty.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce (Van Fleet) Garitty; sons: Christian Neil (Lana) Garitty, Nicholas Justin (Amanda) Garitty; daughters: Amberlynn Noel Garitty, Jennica Nicole Garitty; grandchildren: Serenity, Jackie, Levi, Tayleigh, Emma, Atticus, Leah and Carson; sisters: Charlene (Don) Sampson, Peggy (Marlin) LaBonte; brother in Christ, Johnny Kennedy; numerous nieces, nephews and his beloved and faithful service dog, Gambit.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the following for their care and compassion of Bud: The nurses and staff of Gulfport Memorial Hospital, Merit Health Biloxi, University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson, University of Louisville-Shelbyville Hospital Campus and the transplant specialists at University of Kentucky Hospital.

A memorial service will be announced at a future date.
