Adele Johnson Mendel

Adele Johnson Mendel, 75, of New Orleans, LA passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022.

She was born on May 16, 1947 in New Orleans, LA to the late William Barney Johnson Sr. and Ellen (Mi-Mi) Johnson.

Adele was a Loving wife for 34 years to the love of her life, George Gerald Mendel;
treasured mother of Tammy Coates Sigsworth, Charles (Butsie) Coates (Lindsey),
Sheri Mendel, Chris Mendel (Kelly), and the late Ellen Coates Hoffmann;
proud grandmother of eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and
beloved sister of the late William Barney Johnson Jr.

Adele cherished her career at New Orleans Traffic Court until the time of her retirement in 2012.
She led a very social and active life including being a member of the Zoo Krewe for many years and also an avid Deer Hunter.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her .
